Bartell Hotels is an equal opportunity employer. **Position Summary** The Marina Maintenance is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at Shelter Island Marina. This role supports daily marina operations and delivers excellent customer service, ensuring guests have a positive and seamless experience on the water. **Key Responsibilities** - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, yard, and dock areas. - Perform assigned duties to support overall marina operations. - Operate portable submersible pumps to remove water from boats and dock areas. - Keep docks clean and hazard-free by removing trash, debris, and obstructions. - Assist customers with loading and unloading gear on ramps and docks. - Collect, clean, and organize dock carts and storage boxes. - Coil hoses and ensure walkways remain tidy and unobstructed. - Clean and maintain benches, railings, and other common surfaces. - Prepare and paint dock furniture (wood and metal). - Perform basic maintenance and repairs, including docks, cleats, hose bibs, lighting, and utilities. - Support general upkeep of the marina office and facilities. - Identify and report safety or environmental hazards to supervisors. - Stock and organize marina store merchandise. **Qualifications & Skills** - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. - Reliable, punctual, and customer-service oriented. - Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Able to lift, carry, and move moderate loads. - Basic maintenance or handyman experience preferred. - Ability to safely operate a variety of power tools.
