From design to delivery, our solutions are tailored to the specific needs of high-profile organizations in commercial buildings, data centers, industrial facilities, and other mission critical sites. ## Job Summary DescriptionEMCOR Services Aircond Corporation **Job Title:** District Service Manager **Job Summary:** The District Service Manager will direct and coordinate department activities for the Service Operations team in Charlotte, NC. **Location:** Charlotte, NC and surrounding metro area **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Supervise Service Technician activities to assist growth and ensure that each technician reaches their full potential, and that each acquires the highest standard of profitability. - Assist Technicians with technical problems. - Train Technicians in accordance with the Aircond philosophy. - Promote a safe work environment. - Perform quality control inspections monthly. - Monitor and control the tool, uniform and other budget items. - Monitor and/or approve technician time: hours worked ST /OT, Unapplied, Billable, Contract, and Vacation. - Monitor weekly open service-order report and provide feedback to the office while working to close out jobs. - Issue purchase orders timely and with all supporting documentation. - Oversee quotes for repairs and certain equipment replacement, balance and distribute the workload. - Balance contract and billable hours of each technician. - Monitor performance of Technicians on preventive maintenance and billable projects. - Provide customer service and resolve client problems concerning service work, Service Technicians, service contract and billing issues. - Participate in the management team of the Service Department and assist in creating and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to high morale. - Collaborate with other managers to implement procedures to improve and promote Aircond - increase profits, build client trust and increase client base. - Schedule and chair Technician meetings in effort to motivate, inform and train technicians and build morale. - Assist the Account Managers in calculate client needs and contract pricing. - Handle personnel issues related to Service Technicians. - Interview candidates for Service Technician positions. - Conduct annual performance evaluations to facilitate development and maintain records of skill level, training and salary level. - Investigate accidents and take action to prevent reoccurrence. - Provides various supportive activities to other departments and associates. - Serve as liaison between clients and other departments. - Maintain and track inventory. - Assists dispatch in decision making with determining technician availability, geographical locations and/or as otherwise needed. - Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** **Education and/or Experience** Must possess high school diploma or equivalent plus HVAC technical certification with a minimum of 7 years experience as a Service Technician and at least 2 years of prior experience in a supervisory role preferred. **REQUIRED SKILLS** - Strong leadership, organizational and analytical skills to effectively manage daily operations of the department. - Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and work independently. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. - Strong business acumen and technical knowledge. - Proven relationship management skills. - Excellent customer service skills. - Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and coordinate work. - Effective time management skills. - Ability to travel as needed. - Effective computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. - Strong adherence to Company safety goals and culture. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** Direct management of employees in the Service Department. **LANGUAGE SKILLS** Ability to read, interpret and analyze routine business commun…
