Job Summary: The purpose of the Roll Up Operator is to be responsible for rolling up finished rolls and assisting inspector in repairing of defects on finished goods. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Discuss style and color with inspector. Ensure the carpet; ticket and digital roll number are the same. Required at every new roll. Pull/push rolls into Roll-up cradle Pull roll flap across the table floor (approximate: 24�) Assist inspector of repairing goods (cut, trim, mark, chalk, etc.) Re-roll and wrap rolls Cut the finished roll at the required length stated in the CAMS system. Ensure finished roll is rolled straight and is void of wrinkles. Work with inspector � ensure all CAMS entries are correct (seconds, holds, scrap). Ensure that when cutting the carpet, waste is minimized. Cut banding from core bundle as needed. Monitor backing for defects. Keep area clean at all times. Performance Expectations (if applicable): Lifting is required, a weight of 20 pounds 20 times per shift. Standing and walking approximately 8 hours per shift. Reaching is required approximately 50 times per shift. Stooping is required approximately 100 times per shift for approximately 10 second intervals. Bending is required in rolling carpet approximately 50 times per shift. Must be able to use scissors. Must be able to distinguish color and shades. Experience/Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to read and write Must be able to do basic addition, subtraction, division and multiplication Other Requirements: Overtime is required on occasion. Must be able to identify yarn types on sight. Perform any other duties as assigned. All accidents must be reported immediately.
