Description: 1.0 FTE Director of Special Education, 8 hours a day for 260 Contract Days (Year Round). Job Summary: The Director of Special Services oversees special education programs within the Intermediate District. The Director helps to support the learning and academic services for students who require specialized educational programs. Qualifications: Minnesota license for Director of Special Education or eligibility for such licensure; 3 years or more educational administration experience preferred; Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with staff, students, parents, partnered agencies, and greater community; Ability to communicate effectively; Understanding of best practices when working with students with significant disabilities; and Knowledge of current state and federal special education law and regulations. Pay & Benefits: The pay range for this position is $129,500-149,500 annually based on experience.
