If you are seeking a workplace where purpose, community, and professional growth intersect—and where your work truly matters—Saint Mary’s offers that opportunity. **Job Title** Director of Facilities and Events **Job Summary** The Director of Events and Facilities is responsible for the overall management, assessment and execution of athletic facility scheduling, maintenance, rentals, and facility set up and breakdown. The Director will also run game-day operations for events and work to schedule appropriate staff and outside vendors to operate a successful game day. The Director will report to the Associate AD for Events and Facilities and work closely with coaching staffs and athletic administration. - Run and organize all game-day operations for select sports as assigned by the Associate AD. Includes hiring staff, coordinating officials, working with both home and visiting teams and coordinating fan operations. - Assist with athletic facility maintenance, including buildings and field maintenance. Assist with facility scheduling, working with closely with all 20 Division I teams in scheduling a facility usage schedule. - Coordinate athletic facility rentals, including working on contracts, supervising and running the rental and soliciting new rentals. - Coordinate all facility set up and breakdown for events and games in all athletic facilities. - Know, recognize, and comply with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the College and its employees, and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (including, but not limited to, NCAA Bylaw, Article 11 and its requirement to report all athletically-related income and benefits from sources outside of the College to the President) and of the West Coast Conference as now constituted or as may be amended in the future. Supervise and ensure that any assistants and any other employees and/or volunteers for whom you are administratively responsible comply with the aforesaid policies, rules and regulations. Immediately advise the Director of Athletics if you have reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees or students, have occurred or will occur. - Other duties as assigned Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in athletic facilities management, event operations, collegiate athletics administration, facility scheduling, event management, or a closely related field. Experience coordinating NCAA Division I game-day operations, athletic facility rentals, event logistics, and supervising event staff is strongly preferred. Skills/Abilities: - Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I game management standards, athletic facility operations, and event logistics. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn department-specific scheduling and event management systems. - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. - Dem…
