The role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working remotely with a collaborative engineering organization. ### Accountabilities: The Director of Engineering will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple engineering teams, ensuring successful delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions. This role is responsible for aligning engineering execution with product goals, strengthening technical practices, and developing high-performing teams that support long-term platform growth. - Lead multiple cross-functional engineering teams responsible for delivering core product capabilities, platform improvements, and scalable software solutions. - Translate product strategy into actionable engineering plans while ensuring roadmap delivery within defined timelines, budgets, and resource constraints. - Partner with Product, Platform Engineering, Security, and other stakeholders to evaluate technical feasibility, estimate effort, and prioritize initiatives. - Monitor engineering progress, identify delivery risks, and implement solutions to maintain predictable execution. - Coach and mentor engineering leaders and technical leads, supporting team development, career growth, and strong engineering practices. - Promote architectural consistency through design reviews, technical decision-making, and collaboration across engineering teams. - Establish and improve engineering standards related to testing, code quality, performance, reliability, and operational excellence. - Partner with infrastructure and security teams to strengthen monitoring, incident response, compliance, and data protection practices. - Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools, automation, and productivity improvements across engineering workflows. - Build a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. ## Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with a strong technical foundation, proven ability to scale engineering teams, and a track record of delivering complex software platforms.
