**Director of Development** Silver Spring, MD | Hybrid | Full-Time | $90,000–$95,000 **Fund the Work That Answers Maryland's Mental Health Crises** At Santé, our teams respond when someone in Maryland is having the worst day of their life. We provide crisis response, mobile crisis teams, peer recovery support, care coordination, and community-based behavioral health services across the state — and we're looking for the fundraiser who will grow the philanthropic support that makes that work possible. Let's be clear about the word "development": this is a **fundraising leadership role**. You'll be the builder of Santé's donor program — and this is a boots-on-the-ground seat, not a delegate-and-oversee seat. You'll personally write grants, personally cultivate local relationships, and personally generate the revenue that grows our mission (and sustains your own seat at the table). If you love being the one in the room with the funder, this is your role. **What You'll Own** - Build and execute Santé's fundraising strategy — individual giving, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and annual giving — with clear revenue goals and KPIs you track and course-correct against - Personally write grant proposals, LOIs, sponsorship pitches, and donor appeals - Cultivate relationships with local donors, corporate partners, and foundations across Maryland — including sponsorships for our signature annual wellness event - Partner directly with our CEO, executive leadership, and Board on donor strategy and engagement - Tell Santé's story — impact reporting, stewardship communications, and mission-driven storytelling that moves funders to yes - Represent Santé at community events and partnership meetings across the state **What Strong Candidates Look Like** - 5+ years of hands-on nonprofit fundraising with **quantifiable results** — you can tell us what you've personally raised, from whom, and how - Direct grant writing experience — proposals and LOIs you wrote yourself - Proven donor and funder relationship-building — individual, corporate, and foundation - Multi-year fundraising strategy experience with real targets and KPI tracking - Genuine connection to behavioral health, healthcare, or human services missions - CFRE a plus, not required. Donor CRM experience helpful, not required — we train on our systems. **Note for applicants:** Please include a writing sample with your application — an existing LOI, sponsorship letter, or funder letter you personally wrote. Fictitious or redacted samples are completely acceptable; we know your past work may be proprietary. **Why Santé** Hybrid schedule | $90,000–$95,000 | 403(b) with match | Comprehensive medical, dental, vision | Generous PTO plus your birthday off 🎉 | Tuition reimbursement | Calm App and wellness programming | Pet insurance | A team that means it when we say the mission matters If you read this and thought "finally, a development role that says what it actually is" — we'd love to meet you. **Disclaimers:** *The Santé Group aspires to create an organization that places value on collaboration, innovation, creativity, and inclusiveness.
