Overview Catholic Charities of Buffalo is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented leader to guide our agency's compliance and quality efforts as the **Director of Compliance and Quality**. The Director of Compliance and Quality serves as a key leadership partner to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of the organization’s compliance and quality management systems. This role provides operational leadership for organizational compliance activities, quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, incident and risk management processes, internal monitoring and audit activities, and corrective action tracking. The Director works collaboratively across departments to promote organizational accountability, operational consistency, regulatory adherence, and a culture of continuous improvement in support of Catholic Charities’ mission and strategic priorities. The Director plays an important role in maintaining and advancing the organization’s integrated Business Quality Management System (BQMS), supporting enterprise-wide quality, risk, compliance, and performance improvement efforts. Job Responsibilities - Direct the day-to-day administration and ongoing development of the organization’s Compliance Program and related policies, procedures, reviews/audits, and standards. - Serve as the Assistant Compliance Officer for the Agency, leading/supporting compliance investigations, issue resolution, corrective action planning, and follow-up activities. - Coordinate compliance education, communication, and awareness efforts across the organization - Maintain systems for tracking compliance-related activities, corrective actions, policy acknowledgments, and reporting requirements. - Assist with preparation for audits, accreditation reviews, regulatory inquiries, and compliance reporting activities. - Coordinate organizational quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. - Support implementation and maintenance of the Business Quality Management System (BQMS). - Facilitate continuous improvement activities using established quality improvement methodologies and tools. - Assist departments in identifying performance improvement opportunities and implementing corrective actions. - Support root cause analyses, incident reviews, trend analyses, and improvement planning activities. - Manage tracking, review, escalation, and resolution of incidents, concerns, and corrective actions. - Coordinate documentation and follow-up activities related to risk mitigation and quality improvement initiatives. - Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and performance indicators related to compliance, quality, risk, and operational effectiveness. - Support analysis of trends, outcomes, and organizational performance indicators to inform decision-making and improvement efforts. - Partner collaboratively with program, operational, and administrative…
