Director of Buildings and Grounds Monticello Public Schools 1.0FTE Position Available: Immediately Job Summary: The Director of Buildings and Grounds is responsible for the overall leadership, management, operations, and programming of the district's Department of Buildings and Grounds. The Director of Buildings and Grounds will provide leadership and work directly with the district administration, building principals, and other school employees to ensure a well-maintained, safe, and secure environment for students and staff. This position will office out of a specific school building (TBD) and will be tasked with the coordination and oversight of site operations, including daily completion of building maintenance and/or custodial duties to meet conditions of emergencies and daily routine. See attached job description attached for more details. Education/Certification Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent required. Chief class (c) boiler license required. Pool certification is required. Valid Minnesota driver's license required. Experience: Previous supervisory maintenance and/or custodial experience or other related experience preferred. Previous experience in an educational setting preferred. Essential Skills: Knowledge of federal and state health and safety codes and regulations. Ability to work effectively and lead in a team environment. Ability to give and follow written and verbal instructions. Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs, and the strategic plan of the district. Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families. Experience working with diverse students and families.
