This position offers Monday through Friday, daytime hours. No evenings or weekends required!*** **Position Summary** Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Hope Adult Center are responsible for providing direct care, support, and supervision to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in both home and community settings. DSPs promote independence, ensure safety, and assist individuals in achieving their personal goals. ***FULL & PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE!*** **Minimum Qualifications** - High School Diploma or GED equivalent. - Must be 18 years of age or older - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances. - Experience working with IDD or Severe Mental Illness (Preferred) - Experience in human services, caregiving, or direct support (Preferred) **Required Clearances and Certifications** Employment is contingent upon successful completion of: - Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance - Act 34 Criminal History Clearance - Act 114 FBI Fingerprint Clearance - Act 168 Clearance (if applicable) - Mandated Reporter Certification (Child & Adult) - CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) - Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License (preferred/required based on role) **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** - Support individuals with daily living skills, community integration, and personal goal achievement. - Promote individual choice, dignity, and respect in all interactions. - Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Behavior Support Plans as trained. - Assist individuals in participating in community outings, employment, and enrichment activities. - Complete daily service documentation and incident reports accurately and timely. - Ensure the safety, health, and welfare of individuals at all times. - Support individuals with daily life skill including personal hygiene, communication, and expectations. - Remain calm under stressful situations with individuals. - Administer medication and support health maintenance as required (with training). - Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary team members. - Participate in ongoing training and staff development programs. **Compensation and Benefits** We value our team and offer a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: - Competitive hourly pay based on experience - Generous PTO package for both full and part-time employment - Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance available within your first 30 days - Dental and Vision coverage 100% employer-paid for employees (dependent/spouse coverage available at employee cost) - Supplemental insurance options available (including accident, disability, and more) - 401(k) retirement plan with up to 4% employer match after 1 year of service - Paid training and ongoing professional development - Opportunities for career growth and advancement - Supportive, team-oriented work environment **Additional Requirements and Legal Information** - This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay. - This role must comply with all applicable regulations and training requirements under 55 Pa.
