GAAMHA is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization. **What You'll Do (and Why It Matters):** - **Empowerment Advocate:** You'll plan and support individuals in a wide range of daily activities, from vocational training and personal living skills to recreational outings and community integration. You'll help them discover new interests, build confidence, and become more independent. - **Health and Safety Champion:** You'll assist individuals in maintaining healthy lifestyles, monitor their well-being, and ensure a safe and clean environment. You'll be a key observer and will report any changes in their health or behavior. - **Life Skills Coach:** You'll provide training and assistance in everything from healthy dietary choices to personal hygiene, adapting your approach to meet each individual's unique needs. - **Communication Hub:** You'll stay connected with the team by checking and responding to program messages daily. - **Performance Partner:** You'll observe, evaluate, and provide feedback on individuals' performance in group settings and work assignments, helping them develop valuable skills and build self-esteem. - **Transportation:** You'll safely transport individuals to activities, work, and home, adhering to all GAAMHA safety policies. - **Record Keeper:** You'll accurately document progress, observations, and other important information in our electronic records system, ensuring compliance with all regulations. - **Team Player:** You'll actively participate in required training and maintain a professional demeanor at all times, reflecting GAAMHA's values and commitment to dignity and respect. **What You'll Bring to the Table:** - A high school diploma or equivalent. - Experience in human services or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, but your genuine desire to help others is what truly matters. - Fluency in written and oral English.
