We offer ongoing education, experiences and a supportive staff that emphasizes the individual's role in making choices to give them greater control of the direction of their life. You can be a part of a making a positive impact on their lives each day you come to work. You would provide hands-on, person-centered individualized care and support for our residents. DSPs/Residential Behavior Specialists work with a supportive team that includes the Residential Manager, Residential Assistant Manager, other DSPs and more to support our youth residents in the home. Equivalent with 4+ years of experience working with individuals who have autism and developmental disabilities **OR;** - Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field with 2+ years of experience working with individuals who have autism and developmental disabilities - Must be able to read, write, and speak in English proficiently - Ability to speak, see & hear clearly/audibly, as well as write legibly for documentation - Basic computer skills - Professional and respectful communication skills with clients and their families or other parties - Ability to intervene with clients when needed to implement behavioral inventions including physical restraint, lifting and transporting in personal vehicle or company van - General responsibilities as assigned such as house cleaning, assistance with toileting/showering, job coaching, role modeling, etc. - Ability to sit, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, reach and/or move regularly - Valid driver's license for at least 3 years, with a registered and insured vehicle - CPR/First Aid Certification (We provide training if needed) - Medication Administration Training (We provide training) **Advancement Opportunities:** - Extensive new employee orientation - Initial and ongoing "in-house" training in a wide array of topic areas - Access to professional trainings offered throughout the year - Behavior Management training - Opportunities to pick up extra shifts - Growth opportunities!
