At New Hope, we are currently hiring **Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)** to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living their best lives — both at home and in the community. **Watch our Realistic Job Preview Video to learn more about the role.** * * * **Weekend Shifts Available:** **Working 2 weekends on, 1 weekend off, Saturday and Sunday** * * * **What You’ll Do:** - Assist individuals with daily living needs such as cooking, dressing, personal hygiene, and home care - Use ceiling-mounted electric Hoyer lifts to help individuals in and out of wheelchairs as needed - Support individuals in participating in community life through activities like dining out, shopping, visiting friends, and attending local events - Provide compassionate care and build lasting, supportive relationship ## Requirements **What We’re Looking For:** - Genuine interest in supporting people to live independent, fulfilling lives - Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills - Ability to work effectively with individuals served, team members, families, and the community - Must be 16 years of age or older (for campus home roles) - Ability to pass a physical exam (required for lifting support) - Desire to learn new skills and grow professionally * * * **No Experience Required** We offer paid training and professional development to help you succeed in your role and grow in your career.
