**Minimum Starting Hourly Rate: $16.48/hr** - **This position will be required to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays** **Maximum Starting Hourly Rate - Dependent on Qualifications** **Benefits** - **Health** - **Dental** - **Vision** - **Life Insurance** - **Generous Paid Time Off - 7.69 hrs per pay period** - **10 Observed Company Paid Holidays** - **8 Hours Annual Volunteer Time Off** - **Retirement Plan w/ 6% Employer Contribution** - **Employee Assistance Program** **GENERAL DESCRIPTION** **This is a grant funded position, and employment is contingent upon continued funding.** The Direct Service Professional (DSP) provides supportive supervision and recovery-oriented services to individuals receiving Crisis Respite services within the Diversion Center. Under the direction of licensed clinical staff, the DSP promotes a safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment by monitoring participant safety, supporting daily living activities, providing transportation, documenting services, and assisting participants in achieving stabilization and successful transition back to the community. Works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** - Provides supportive supervision and engages participants in a safe, respectful, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented environment. - Conducts routine participant and environmental safety checks and promptly reports safety concerns or significant changes in participant condition or behavior. - Supports participants in maintaining independence with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) through prompting, coaching, encouragement, and supervision appropriate to the participant's level of independence. - Provides transportation for participants to appointments, community resources, and other approved destinations while safely operating Center vehicles in accordance with Center policy and applicable traffic laws. - Assists with meal preparation, meal service, stocking supplies, light housekeeping, and maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment. - Observes and documents participant self-administration of medications and promptly reports concerns to nursing or clinical staff. - Supports participants in activities that promote wellness, recovery, and coping skills. - Utilizes approved de-escalation techniques and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) interventions to safely respond to behavioral health crises. - Documents services, participant interactions, observations, transportation, safety checks, and other required information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) within established timeframes and in accordance with Center policy and applicable regulations. - Collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support participant treatment, recovery, and discharge planning. - Maintains confidentiality of participant information and demonstrates professionalism, ethical conduct, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions. - Completes required training, maintains required certifications, demonstrates regular attendance and dependability, and performs other duties as assigned. # **GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS** # **Experience/Education/Licensing/Certification** - High School diploma or GED required. - Preferred: Six (6) months of experience working with individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use disorders, behavioral health conditions, or other vulnerable populations. ## **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities** - Knowledge of trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented service delivery. - Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. - Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, treatment plans, safety plans, and other clinical documentation. - Ability to accurately document services using the Center's Electronic Health Record (EHR). - Ability to recognize behavioral changes, exercise sound judgment, and re…
