Responsible to follow all safety and sanitary procedures which requires wearing goggles, masks, disposable gloves, face mask and use of cleaning chemicals, soap products frequently. 2. Must have the ability to use necessary large equipment, (food processor, microwave, blender and institutional dishwasher), as well as be exposed to sharp items such as knives and slicer. 3. Respectful towards supervision and willing to accept instruction and constructive criticism. 4. Must be able to read and comprehend English to understand dietary information on resident’s tray card, on tallies, special event requisitions and to calculate measurements and follow recipes. 5. Must be able to be exposed to normal kitchen noise frequently, to be exposed to infectious hazards from residents’ trays and other employees occasionally. 6. Must be able to use and be exposed to vibration from machines used in completing job duties including blenders, mixers, food processors, dishwasher, etc. 7. Must be able to fill, serve from and clean steam table and access food and drinks in the cooler and freezer 8. Must demonstrate flexible attitude in accepting changes in job assignments and a patient, cooperative manner in working with fellow employees, helping to create a positive work environment. 9. Must have organizational skills to complete duties in accordance with established policies and procedures. 10. Responsible for following proper cleaning, sanitation and safe operating procedures in completing food production, dishwashing, collecting, stripping, washing and storing of dishes. 11. Responsible to attend in-service programs regularly to stay informed and learn new procedures. 12. Responsible for general kitchen and dishwashing room clean up. 13. Responsible for reporting special requests of residents to management staff and giving the best possible care to residents. 14. Responsible to respect and uphold resident rights in all actions including confidentiality of resident information, and not to act in any manner that would be considered emotional or physical abuse or neglectful of the resident’s needs. 15. Responsible to report any incident of abuse, neglect or unsafe condition to immediate supervisor. 16. Personal appearance must be neat and clean with good personal hygiene following Nutritional Services Dress Code. 17. Must be punctual and dependable with attendance. 18.
