We're looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in quality work and wants to build a long-term career with a company that has served the Midwest for more than 100 years. **Schedule** **Tuesday–Saturday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM** **Pay & Benefits** - **$24.00–$42.00 per hour**, based on experience and certifications - **$6,000 Sign-On Bonus** - 401(k) with company match - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - Life insurance - Paid time off - Tuition reimbursement - Employee Assistance Program - Employee discounts - Referral bonus program **What You'll Do** As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of more than 95 motorcoaches to ensure they operate safely and reliably. **Responsibilities include-** - Diagnose and repair diesel engines (Cummins and Detroit Diesel experience preferred) - Perform preventative maintenance and inspections - Repair brake, steering, suspension, and mechanical systems - Troubleshoot electrical and vehicle diagnostic systems - Service HVAC systems (EPA Section 608 certification is a plus) - Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations **Qualifications** - At least **1 year of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience** - Valid driver's license - Ability to obtain a CDL within six months of hire - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including THC) and background check - Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently **Physical Requirements:** - Stand for extended periods - Use hands and fingers to handle or operate tools and controls - Reach with arms and hands - Lift up to 100lbs - Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl - Walk, climb, or balance (occasional) - Talk and hear during communication or diagnostic work (occasional) **Why Jefferson Lines?** Jefferson Lines has proudly served 14 states across America’s heartland for over 100 years.
