**DME Coordinator** FASCO (Foot and Ankle Specialists of Central Ohio) **Position Summary:** The DME Coordinator will support physicians and patients on the process of ordering Diabetic Shoes and Custom AFOs. They will make sure to use customer service skills and display professionalism to treat our patients with the utmost quality of care. **Job Function and Duties:** - Greet patients promptly and courteously - Provide patient instruction as directed by the physician - Complete patient paperwork required for Medicare Diabetic Shoe Process and enter information into the EMR at the time of encounter - Measure/Cast patients for DME items - Order DME using ordering software - Update medical records - Answer phones, schedule appointments, answer insurance benefit questions - Other tasks assigned to you from management **Required Skills & Abilities:** - HIPAA and OSHA knowledge and Compliance preferred (will train if not knowledgeable) - Medical office experience preferred but not required (on-site training available) - Must be professional and courteous - Excellent communication skills - Organizational skills - Ability to work with a team or independently - Must be knowledgeable with computers **Physical Demands:** - Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time. - May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 20 pounds as needed throughout the day. **Schedule and Related Information:** - Work schedule is Monday through Friday no Weekends - Travel to other locations is required **Benefits:** - Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Short Term/Long Term, HSA, Personal Time Off (PTO) 401K, Paid Holidays, Bonus Incentives
