Agnes Hsu-Tang Music and Artistic Director in the 2026–27 season. **About the Role** The New York Philharmonic seeks a **Development Associate** to join its collaborative and donor-focused Individual Giving team. This role supports the Friends Membership Program ($100-2,999) by helping cultivate, steward, and engage individual donors while contributing to fundraising goals and exceptional donor experiences across the organization. The position regularly interacts with donors, internal stakeholders, and event participants and may include evening and weekend commitments associated with performances, membership activities, and special events. **Your Day-to-Day** - Draft, coordinate, and track donor communications, including solicitations, acknowledgements, newsletters, and stewardship outreach - Process gifts and maintain accurate donor records within Tessitura - Support membership events through correspondence, attendance tracking, reporting, budgeting, and onsite support - Maintain donor and prospect plans and support moves management activities - Supports the implementation of large-scale Individual Giving fundraising campaigns - Assist with revenue tracking, expense monitoring, and donor analytics projects - Respond to donor inquiries and provide high-touch customer service - Support fundraising initiatives including renewals, upgrades, and acquisition efforts - Staff donor events and performances as needed - Perform additional duties as assigned **What You Bring to the Team** **Qualifications** - 1+ year of relevant professional experience in fundraising, customer service, administration, or a related field - Experience working with databases; Tessitura experience preferred - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills **Who You Are** - Collaborative and service-oriented - Organized and detail-focused - Comfortable interacting with donors and stakeholders - Proactive and reliable - Committed to contributing to an inclusive workplace where everyone belongs **Compensation & Work Arrangement** **Salary: $55,348** This position operates in a hybrid work environment. Candidates should expect a regular in-office presence, particularly during the first several months, to support onboarding, relationship building, and operational integration.
