Our Event Solutions Group is seeking a Travel Design & Purchasing Manager. The Travel Design & Purchasing Manager will be the primary sales and event purchase & design support to BDDs for Incentive and Meeting travel proposals. This role is responsible for leading the process for the program design including site searches, selection, recommendation, budgeting and contracting of space for travel programs. **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Lead solution design/qualification strategy sessions, brainstorming sessions and recommend appropriate hotels, resorts, cruise lines, destination management companies and other suppliers as necessary. - Collaborate closely with client leaders on event design, budgets and contracts. - Work with vendors (hotels, DMCs, etc.) on RFPs, proposals, pricing and contracting. - Create/write/produce a competitive, creative, operational travel proposal that meets approved profit guidelines. - Develop & lead presentations to clients virtually or in person. - Responsible for responding to RFPs and RFIs. - Ability to travel to destinations for supplier/client inspections (15-20%). **Required Experience & Education:** - Travel design, buying and hotel contracting experience preferred. - Destination/hospitality industry knowledge. - Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft 365 (esp. PowerPoint and SharePoint) preferred. - Bachelor's Degree, CMM or CMP certification will be a plus. - Focus on internal and external customers to create compelling proposals for meetings or incentive events - Problem solving skills - A storyteller with strong verbal and written communication skills. - Must be organized, creative, detail oriented and service minded. - Ability to work independently and make decisions. Base Salary Range: $85,000 to $90,000. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, and skills.
