Description of Task to be Performed: AnaVation is seeking an experienced cyber professional to join our team and support our mission critical customer in Reston, VA. As a Senior Cyber Security Officer, you will maintain the operational security posture for an information system to ensure security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Your previous experience working collaboratively with staff at all levels to deliver to deliver short-term, medium-term, and long-term commitments will enable us to complete and coordinate tasks across cross-functional teams. This role requires shift work. Duties include but are not limited to: Performing a variety of Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) functions which are broad in nature and support multi-tier IA and CND functions. Examples may include writing and tracking multi-organization Requests For Information (RFI), audit/inspection, certification and accreditation, vulnerability management, detection and response support services. Providing support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program. Providing security certification test and evaluation of assets, vulnerability management and response, security assessments, and customer support. Providing support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Maintaining operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information. Performing vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
