Performs routine and detailed clerical and customer service duties and responsibilities in support of the County Clerk's office. Provides information, process documents, maintains records, responds to inquiries and complaints, and administers the rules and regulations of the County Clerk's office and the statutes of the State of Wyoming. Receives less supervision and has more years of experience than level II.*The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.* - Answers the telephone and refers calls to appropriate department personnel. Greets and assists public in a courteous manner and provides information on departmental, county, and state policies and procedures. - Performs research and prepares and provides detailed information on certified documents such as land records, court documents (death, divorce, trusts, repossession, and foreclosures) for the public and other entities. - Types and proofreads a variety of documents. Maintains files and records. Receives, processes, and sort incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail. Receives, processes, and prepares documents from dealerships, financial organizations, lawyers, courts, and other entities for recording. Performs final evaluation of legal documents for completeness and compliance with general court rules and procedures. - Types or complete data on titles, financial papers, deeds, oil & gas documents, marriage licenses, and other legal documents. Prepare and type miscellaneous correspondence and other materials as required. Enters and retrieves various information from the computer system. - Works with internal and external entities to resolve a variety of issues. - Collects, records, processes, and delivers money, receipts, and documents. - Balances cash drawers, accounts, and receipts. Prepares daily bank deposits. Participates in apportioning and distributing of collected money and assists in collection of all NSF checks. - Transmits vehicle information, funds, and documents to the state department as assigned. - Prepares periodic financial, statistical, or operations reports assigned. Prepares monthly revenue report for the County Treasurer's office. - Administers applicable State and Federal statutes concerning filing process of titles, financial papers, deeds, oil and gas documents, marriage licenses, and other legal documents. - Performs related duties as required. Required Education and Experience: - High school diploma (or GED equivalent) - Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an office environment - Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities Required Licenses or Certifications: - Class C driver’s license Knowledge of: - English grammar, spelling, and punctuation - Modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment - Principles and procedures of record keeping and bookkeeping - Proper compliance of the notarization process - Techniques for proper telephone etiquette - Numerical, alphabetical, and subject matter filing systems - Operations, services, and activities of the office - Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations including administrative and department policies and procedures - Governmental accounting programs - Principles and practices of fiscal, statistical, and administrative data collection and report preparation Skill in: - Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships - Perfo…
