We serve diverse and underserved communities across Shasta County and surrounding areas through integrated primary care, dental, behavioral health, and substance use disorder treatment services. Hill Country is in the heart of far Northern California, situated on the edge of the breath-taking Cascade Mountain Range. Nearby areas offer world class outdoor activities, including blue-ribbon fly-fishing streams, boating, mountain biking and skiing. For the avid outdoorsman and those seeking the tranquility of the outdoors, this is the place for you! We are also only a few hours’ drive away from the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Reno, Nevada; one of the most stunning stretches of the Pacific Coast; and multiple National Parks. **POSITION SUMMARY:** Hill Country Community Clinic is currently seeking a full-time General Dentist (DDS/DMD) to join our integrated, whole person care team. Hill Country is a Federally Qualified Health Center that attracts mission driven individuals who are very passionate about serving the underserved population of Shasta County. The Redding location is a twelve-chair operation that is open Monday through Friday. The Round Mountain location is an eight-chair operation and is open Monday through Thursday. Our dental staff rotate between both locations to optimize care coordination and department calibration so that the patient experience is seamless regardless of the location they prefer to receive care. Our team is a caring group of diverse individuals dedicated to the same vision: providing high quality care and positive patient experiences to all members of our community. **We offer a generous benefits package in addition to competitive compensation:** - $160K to $191K - based on experience - Paid malpractice insurance - Medical, dental, vision and life insurance - NHSC loan repayment - current HPSA score of 25 - Generous PTO accrual, paid bereavement, paid jury duty, 40 hours of CME and 40 hours sick time - 403B retirement - Paid license and DEA renewal fees **REQUIREMENTS:** - Active California Dental License, free of disciplinary action - Active DEA - Current Basic Life Support - Must have excellent working knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, principles, theories, techniques and practices of dentistry. Must have ability to perform all necessary duties involved in dental hygienist protocol and procedures; as well as those of dental assistant. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned which may become essential to the position. - Performs dental services for residents including oral examinations, prophylaxis, fillings, extractions, anterior root canals, periodontal surgery, root canals, crowns and bridges; takes and interprets radiographs; performs follow-up services. - Diagnoses dental condition, evaluates oral health, plans and provides treatment. - Writes, implements, and provides documentation of individual client's treatment; maintains records to comply with federal requirements and writes reports indicative of progress or regression. - Prepare and/or process documents; review for accuracy and completeness; update information and/or evaluate against policy; compare elements for consistency or logical relationships, etc. - Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc. - Analyzes, summarizes and/or reviews data; reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations. - Conducts conferences with defendants and/or att…
