Dental Assistant

Our Dentists and Team are dedicated to helping our patient families maintain optimal oral health. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a dental assistant. Whether you are just starting in the field or have some experience, we are committed to training the right person to become a member of our team. **Responsibilities:** - Prepare and organize dental treatment rooms and instruments prior to patient appointments. - Assist dentists during various dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort. - Perform sterilization and disinfection of dental tools and equipment following strict infection control protocols. - Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, including updating medical histories and treatment plans. - Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care with empathy and clear communication. - Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times. - Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials, ensuring availability for daily operations. - Adhere to body motion and ergonomics best practices to maintain personal health and safety during clinical tasks. **Qualifications:** - Willingness to learn and grow in the dental field - No prior experience required; training provided for the right person - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced team orientated environment - Willingness to learn and grow in the dental field - High School Diploma or equivalent required **Details:** - Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 5:15PM - No Evening, No Holidays, No Weekends - Benefits Offered - Pay Range: $20 - $26 - Primary Location: Latham - Ability to commute to Delmar and Schodack offices on an as needed basis preferred **Benefits:** - Competitive pay + growth opportunities - Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - Long-Term and Short-Term Disability Insurance - Company provided Life Insurance - Employee Assistance Program - 401K with company contributions - Paid time off + paid holidays - Discounted and Free Pediatric dental and orthodontic treatments
