The River North Dentologie dental practice is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to provide outstanding patient care! Schedule: As a full-time employee, we would ask that you are comfortable working Monday-Friday, 5 shifts per week (*including 3 morning and 2 evening shifts*). Visit us on our popular **[TikTok](https://www.tiktok.com/@dentologie)** or **[Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/dentologie/)** page(s) to better understand who we are and our mission! **Responsibilities**: - Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties. - Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of procedures. - Provide a 10-star Patient experience. - Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures. - Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS. - Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry). - Make patients as comfortable as possible in the chair while preparing them for treatment. - Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment. - Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education. - Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos. - Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment. - Monitor daily supplies for restocking. - Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for care post-treatment procedures. **Required Skills/Abilities:** - Required: minimum six months of assistant experience. - Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills. - Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care. - Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate. - Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. - Preferred: coronal polishing certificate. **Dentologie Benefits and Perks**: - Medical, dental (free coverage for employees), 401K, and vision insurance - Employer-paid life and disability insurance - $50/month for mass transit or parking expenses - Flexible spending accounts (FSA) - Paid: holidays, PTO, and sick time Note: Here at Dentologie, we want all of our employees to feel valued, appreciated, and free to be who they are at work.
