Fun and friendly dental practice in Chico - come and join us** **Summary:** The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. Other duties may be assigned. - Assists the doctor in procedures - Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays - Prophy teeth - Instructs patients on oral hygiene - Chart and treatment plan with doctor - Sterilizes instruments - Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment - Take IO's - Charting - Sealants, if applicable ## Qualifications **Education and/or Experience:** - Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred **Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:** - Dental Assistant - X-Ray Certification - Coronal Polish Certification required - Current BLS certification - Sealant Certification, preferred
