Database Engineer

This role is responsible for maintaining high availability, improving performance, and supporting mission-critical operational systems. **Duties:** - Design, develop, administer, and maintain enterprise database management systems. - Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance solutions. - Implement database backup, recovery, and replication strategies. - Develop automation solutions using Ansible and UNIX/Linux shell scripting. - Perform Linux and Windows server patching and system maintenance activities. - Support database operations, troubleshooting, and continuous system improvement initiatives. **QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:** - Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years. - Experience administering enterprise database environments and SQL performance tuning. - Strong experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and automation tools such as Ansible. - Experience with Linux and Windows operating system administration and patch management. - Experience supporting database replication, backup, and recovery operations. **Working Environment:** Onsite **Required Clearance:** Active Top Secret/SCI **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy:** Dobbs Defense Solutions is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
