Job Name: Data Steward Level: Senior Location: Springfield, VA (NCE) Remote Work: No Required Clearance: TS/SCI Position Type: Immediately Available Shift: Shift 1 Office Supported: Analysis Office REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Requires TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to obtain a CI/Poly. 10+ years of relevant experience OR a combination of education and years of experience including but not limited to degree programs, professional certifications, and military training Demonstrated understanding of GIS, data schemas, and the geo-referencing of information Knowledge of extraction and metadata specifications Knowledge of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) architectures, best practices for data normalization, and performance tuning/optimization techniques Knowledge of enterprise geodatabases, such as Spatial Database Engines (SDEs) Knowledge of tools such as the ArcGIS Suite, ArcGIS Online, Portal, Excel, Access, and SQL for the storage, organization, and maintenance of spatial data Familiarity with ontology concepts as they relate to information systems, data modeling, and data relationships Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player across technical and mission-focused teams Knowledge of scripting languages, such as R or Python COMPENSATION CAS offers a generous benefits package for full time employees, including: 4 weeks PTO accrual for new employees with increases at milestone anniversaries, 11 paid holidays, employer-paid life and disability insurance, family health, dental and vision benefits, TRICARE Supplemental insurance, 401(k) with up to 6% employer match, generous tuition assistance for higher education or career related certifications, flexible work schedules, and opportunities for referral bonuses. Base salaries at CAS are determined by various factors, including work location, an individual’s education, knowledge, skills, experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of CAS's total compensation package.
