ABOUT THE ROLE You'll join the Data Platform team, reporting to the Engineering Manager of Data Platform. The platform side of the team builds the storage and compute systems; you'll be the one running on top of them, turning new product features into working data. That means changing schemas, moving data table to table, and making sure the numbers advertisers see in their reporting are correct and current. This role exists because the platform is growing faster than any one person can operate it, and Vibe needs someone who can own that operational layer end to end. You'll get real production ownership from day one, work directly with the engineers who built the infrastructure underneath you, and have a clear runway to specialize as the team splits into more focused tracks over the next year. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Implement schema changes that unlock new product features without breaking downstream consumers - Move and transform data between tables as reporting and product requirements evolve - Keep the reporting pipeline accurate so advertisers see correct, current campaign performance - Troubleshoot data discrepancies and trace them back to the source system - Work directly with the Data Platform team to understand the storage and compute systems you're building on - Flag scaling or data-quality risks before they surface as incidents WHAT YOU NEED - Real production pipeline experience, not just notebook or ad hoc analysis work - Strong SQL and comfort with data modeling and schema design - Experience working with an orchestrator (Dagster, Airflow, or similar) or a transformation tool like dbt - Ability to work through ambiguous requests and turn them into a concrete plan - Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment NICE TO HAVES - Exposure to ClickHouse or another column-store analytics engine - Familiarity with streaming systems like Kafka - Background in AdTech or programmatic advertising OUR VALUES At Vibe, we run on three values: Impact, Ambition, and Urgency.
