About the role The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all incoming referrals, orders for delivery, and pick up. The specialist will record and enter patient demographics, emergency contact information, physician information, and diagnosis. Responsibilities - New patient intake entry into databases and answer calls. - Troubleshoot patient problems as a company representative - Daily Communication with therapist and physicians - Take payments and create payment plans - Communicate with patient coverage changes - Check patients in for their scheduled appointments - Follow up with appointment reminders for upcoming visits Location & commitments - Permanent, Full Time Position - 36-40 hours per week - Virginia Beach, VA - PTO & Health insurance provided after 90 days - 401K Plan Candidate requirements - 2+ years of experience providing customer service, preferred experience speaking with patients & therapists - Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, with the public and with employees to exchange and clarify information - Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner while analyzing the information and data - Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving - Ability to multitask and meet deadlines Skill requirements - Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate Microsoft office, internal computer systems, insurance portals, and process payments - Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize task as needed - Posses a high level of attention to detail when typing and entering information into systems and databases - Role requires use of frequent basic math skills - Developing and maintaining good relationships with co-workers and managers as a TEAM player. - Maintaining open lines of communication with others.
