For more information on the company, please visit our website: https://www.expeditors.com/careers ## Job Description **Position Schedule:** Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 4:30 PM **Major Duties and Responsibilities** - A Brokerage CSR will be expected to ensure timely and accurate operations while providing exceptional customer service within the Brokerage Department. - **3 to 5 years of Brokerage experience required** - Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow for all customs related activities - Daily execution of workflow and department metrics - Transfer declaration information from commercial documents, or other sources into our customs entry system - Accurate and timely data entry to allow for the build of a complete US Customs declaration - Build and maintain strong relationships with the customers and government organizations - Ensure compliance to regulations at all times, both internal and external - Track and Trace shipments for valid data transmission to US customs and Partner Government Agencies - Understand customer expectation to ensure all the elements of the SOP and KPI’s are met - Identify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement - Effectively manage and organize emails for timely follow up ## Qualifications **Minimum Qualifications:** - **3-5 years of Brokerage experience required** - Understanding of transportation and US Customs documentation - High School Degree or equivalent required - Successful candidates must pass a background check - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States - Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa - Fluent in English, both written and verbal. - Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department’s needs - Must be able to commute to the city of Torrance, CA - Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills - Comfortable working in an office environment **Desired Qualifications** - Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.
