**Customer Pick-Up Associate Job Description** **Reports to:** Customer Pick-Up Team Lead **Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 6:00PM** **Position Summary:** Perform the Customer Pick-Up function by serving customers with prompt, courteous, and dependable service. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** The position has no supervisory responsibilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Entails receiving, storing, pulling, and distributing material, equipment, and products from the warehouse. - Use of I-Pod device to locate inventory. - Prepare boxed and palletized orders for pickup. - Assist Showroom Sales Associates by pulling, distributing, and customer carryout. - Responsible for housekeeping of the customer pick-up area including cleaning, organizing, sweeping, etc. - Using proper lifting procedure, participate in the loading and unloading of customer vehicles using hand pallet carts and fork trucks. - Assist with mounting and balancing of tires. - Other duties as assigned. **Education/Experience/Qualifications:** - High School diploma or GED required. - Minimum of one-year related experience. - Ability to use common computer applications and company warehouse management system (WMS). - Tire mounting & balancing experience a plus. - Ability to be licensed as a powered industrial truck operator. **Skills & Abilities:** - Communicate effectively through speaking, listening, and writing. - Work in a team-oriented fashion as well as independently. - Keep manager abreast of department activity. - Ability to efficiently use computer and applicable software. - Display willingness to support and make decisions with sound judgment in timely manner. - Use problem solving skills and sound judgment in the dispatch of duties. - Adapt to frequent changes in the work environment. - Use equipment and materials properly. - Practice safe work habits. **Physical Demands:** This is a General Warehouse position that requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and use of hands continuously for eight hours. This position requires lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lifting/moving up to 100 pounds. This position requires extended amounts of time walking and climbing stairs. This position requires frequent work time beyond an eight-hour shift/40-hour week including shift rotation and weekends. This position requires the operation of basic office equipment.
