Custodian

\*\*Hours are flexible however the position is a Monday-Friday position with 4-6 hours per day to be worked between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. (Maximum of 28 hours per week)\*\* Position Summary The Custodian is responsible for Maintaining a clean, safe, an orderly environment throughout all company facilities. The custodian helps ensure facilities are well maintained and present a professional appearance for employees, visitors, and customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: - Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, countertops, and floors - Cleans and maintains kitchen and break room areas including countertops, sinks, tables, and appliances as needed - Empties trash and recycling containers and transports waste to designated disposal areas - Vacuums carpets and rugs in offices, hallways, and common areas sweeps, mops, and maintains hard surface floors - Dusts furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and other surfaces cleans interior glass surfaces and windows washes exterior windows as assigned - Restocks restroom and kitchen supplies, including paper products, soap, and cleaning materials - Maintains cleaning equipment and notifies management of repair or replacement needs - Reports maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management - Performs other custodial and facility related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility management experience preferred but not required - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment - Dependable, punctual, and detail oriented - Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a business environment Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
