**Offutt Custodian** Department: Contracts Location: Offutt Air Force Base Employment Status: Part-Time - 5PM to 9PM shifts Sunday - Thursday Pay range: $17.75 + $5.09 per hour worked Health & Welfare Benefit **JOB SUMMARY** Responsible for cleaning assigned areas within federal contract buildings. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Perform basic custodial duties in a timely, safe and professional manner. - Vacuum, dust mop, sweep, and wet mop floors. - Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures and supply with paper and soap products. - Empty trash in assigned areas. Secure liners to contract specifications. - Dust and clean walls, windows, woodwork and above floor surfaces. - Dust, clean and polish furniture. - Clean elevators and stairwells. - Observe proper safety precautions in use of equipment and supplies. - Work with all cleaning chemicals in a safe manner. - Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position. - Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers and participants. - Other duties as assigned **INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS** - Personally participate in ongoing cross training opportunities, education and development as well as supporting others in their efforts to develop. - Working relationship with supervisor and co-workers - Must be able to work as part of a team in a variety of settings - Interact with coworkers and government personnel in a friendly and courteous manner **ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS** - Educate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization. - Demonstrate the Goodwill core values through actions and words. **QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Government clearance is required for federal position openings. **EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE** - Previous custodial experience preferred **CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS** - None required **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES** - Must be able to work effectively in a secure, confidential area - Must be able to understand and follow training instructions - Must be able to work with mild cleaning chemicals, utilizing proper personal protective equipment in a safe manner **PHYSICAL DEMANDS Light** Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. **WORK ENVIRONMENTModerate** Occasionally exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)
