Under the supervision of the Cultivation Manager or department lead, the Cultivation Technician is responsible for performing manual labor to support the growth and maintenance of medicinal cannabis plants. This includes tasks such as watering, feeding, pruning, cloning, cleaning, and transplanting. Attention to detail is essential in this role, as is the ability to follow strict protocols within a highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented setting and demonstrate reliability, consistency, and a strong work ethic. **Responsibilities** - Assist in harvesting plant material on schedule, including drying and de-stemming. - Tend to plants by watering, repotting, training, and moving plant material and green waste. - Monitor plant health and report any conditions that may affect growth or development. - Perform sanitation and decontamination tasks, including propagation, transplantation, trimming, and harvesting, with a focus on productivity and yield optimization. - Scout for pests and other threats, identifying issues early to prevent crop damage. - Wash, sanitize, and inspect all tools and equipment to ensure they are free from pests, viruses, and diseases. - Accurately label plants and maintain consistent inventory records. - Complete all required documentation with accurate and timely information. - Support various cultivation tasks as needed, including assisting other departments (e.g., packaging), moving supplies, and working at alternate locations. - Continue learning about cannabis strains, products, and industry trends during downtime. - Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). - Comply with all Massachusetts state cannabis regulations and company compliance standards. - Demonstrate professionalism, ethical behavior, and a positive attitude while fostering strong team relationships. - Work efficiently in a team environment, multitask, and adapt quickly to changing priorities. - Take ownership of tasks, show initiative, and maintain high-quality work standards. - Analyze and troubleshoot plant health or product issues with attention to detail. - Adapt to changes in policies, procedures, and cultivation techniques as needed. - Management reserves the right to modify, add, or remove job duties at any time, with or without prior notice, in accordance with business needs.
