As a CT Technologist you will: • Perform CT examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists. • Demonstrate proficiency in operating CT-scanner and all ancillary equipment within CT department. • Assist radiologist and other staff in interventional procedures. • Understand principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast. • Identify contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognizes symptoms of IV contrast reactions. • Properly identify patients, reviews orders and selects scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care in CT. • Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems within CT and Imaging Services pertinent to CT scanning (HIS, RIS, PACS, Telelradiography, image reformatting) • Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume including the transport of patients to and/or from CT as necessary. • Provide general patient care as necessary within the CT department. • Assist in orienting and training of new employees and students Qualifications include: • High school or GED • Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography • 1 year CT experience preferred • State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license, • ARRT (CT) certification • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Work Schedule: - **Employment Type:** Per Diem - **Hours per Week:** 12 hours per week - **Typical Daily Schedule:** Every Other Weekend Saturday and Sunday: 7am-730pm - **Shift Type:** Day - **Weekend Requirements:** Required every other weekend rotation - **Holiday Requirements:** Required as needed - **On-Call:** no - **Shift Differential Eligible:** Yes - **This is a per diem position with a rate of $55/hour** **Pay Range:** If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process. **Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:** United States of America (Non-Exempt) **At Adventist HealthCare our job is to care for you.** We do this by offering: - Work life balance through nonrotating shifts - Recognition and rewards for professional expertise - 403(b) retirement plan - Free Employee parking - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) support As a faith-based organization, with over a century of caring for the communities in the Maryland area, Adventist HealthCare has earned a reputation for high-quality, compassionate care.
