**Gulf Marine Repair Crane Operator Day & Night Shift** The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of heavy lifting equipment in a shipyard environment. This role requires precision, strong situational awareness, and adherence to all safety regulations while handling materials and equipment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Operate crawler cranes, lattice boom cranes, and hydraulic cranes of various sizes - Operate barge-mounted friction cranes as required - Perform pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks - Safely lift, move, and position materials according to lift plans and site conditions - Interpret load charts and accurately calculate load weights and capacities - Assist with rigging operations as needed to ensure proper load securement - Communicate effectively with riggers, signal persons, and supervisors - Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements **Minimum Requirements:** - 4+ years of crane operating experience (Preffered but willing to train) - 2–3 years of experience in a shipyard or marine environment preferred - Strong knowledge of crane load charts and lift planning - Experience operating both hydraulic and friction cranes - Ability to work safely in a high-risk, industrial environment **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to sit for extended periods - Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds regularly **Education & Certifications:** - NCCCO certification (LAT [LBC] & TLL) ..... REQUIRED - Valid Class B driver's license **Work Environment:** This position operates in a shipyard environment with exposure to outdoor elements, heavy equipment, and elevated noise levels.
