County Social Services Aide 1 (Local Government) - Independent Living

This role focuses on supporting caseworkers and children through supervision, transportation, documentation, and day-to-day assistance. You will help ensure that agency procedures run smoothly and that children have what they need during appointments and transitions. As a Social Services Aide 1, you will perform the following duties: **Child Supervision:** Supervise and monitor children during appointments, visitation, court events, and approved activities **Placement Support:** Assist with admission, placement, and discharge procedures for children in agency custody **Home Visit Assistance:** Accompany caseworkers on home visits and report observations about child and family functioning **Record Management:** Obtain and maintain medical, dental, vision, immunization, and related records **Transportation Tasks:** Transport foster children to visits, school, appointments, and approved activities **Resource Coordination:** Support communication between the agency and resource families during placement transitions **Work Schedule and Additional Information:** - Full-time employment - Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. - Possible travel requiring overnight stays.
