This includes group control as well as group stimulation and encouragement. The job requires a great deal of patience and understanding. ● Be a caring, mature role model for all players needs must be placed above the counselor’s personal needs while at Alley Pond. ● Instill in the children a respect for themselves, others, and the academy. **SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES** 1. Assist Coaches in all areas of camp. 2. Assist in leading your group of campers. 3. Assist Specialist with activities including maintaining control. 4. Assist in implementing a well-balanced program for the group when not assigned to a Specialist or other activities that relate to the group. 5. Attend all camp activities including orientations, meetings, trips and staff outings. 6. Maintain good attendance and punctuality. Arrive each morning no later than 8:45 a.m. (unless you are assigned to early care) and stay until you are dismissed by the the coaches. Follow Commonpoint rules as follows: A) No smoking while at Alley Pond is in session. B) No drugs or alcoholic beverages permitted in the camp. 7. Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the camp program at all times. Maintain confidentiality regarding personal issues surrounding all staff and players. 8. **Show Initiative** 9. Ensure a fun and safe summer for all campers. 10. The counselor must go into the water for swim time. 11. NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED. NO SMARTWATCHES ALLOWED. **Job duties are subject to change based on changing needs.**
