Join us and be a part of something special! ## Description Assist the counselor with routine paperwork and programming initiatives in an effort to allow the counselor to maximize time and attention to the central matters of the counseling curriculum. ***Position will split between Fairmont Elementary and Deer Park Elementary*** ***Days 183*** ***Pay Grade 2*** ## Requirements **Responsibilities:** - Review Student Residency Questionnaires and digital forms that denote transitional eligibility for the counselor to follow up. Alphabetize and file SRQ forms to be turned into central administration at the end of each school year. - Assist Counselor with implementation of the schoolwide Positive Behavior Intervention Support program, Red Ribbon Week and Generation Texas Activities. - Maintain Skyward Coding for (At-Risk, 504, Early Reader and RtI) at counselor and administrator’s direction. - Assist counselor and campus administration with data aggregation in preparation for PLC meetings per campus protocol. - Collaborate with sending and receiving schools in obtaining records for Special Education transfer ARD meetings, 504, GT and RtI programming. - Schedule annual 504 meetings using eSped and print/mail/archive meeting notice. - Assist counselor with 504 meeting follow-ups by printing, copying and mailing 504 documents to parent/guardian, placing original into student cumulative folder and dispensing to appropriate classroom teachers or uploading into Skyward portfolio at counselor’s direction. - Assist counselor with initial 504 referrals by compiling and collecting necessary documentation. Create yellow 504 folders to house programming documentation and place in cumulative folder for qualifying students. - Assist counselor with initial Special Education referrals by compiling and collecting necessary documentation. - Assist counselor in preparing for ongoing Student Support Team referrals by scheduling the meetings, completing the student information sheets, collecting data and uploading information to the appropriate student folder on SharePoint. - Assist counselor in preparing for ongoing Response to Intervention programming by scheduling the meetings and collecting data using Skyward, Aware and other progress monitoring programs. Upload data to the appropriate student folder in SharePoint. - Assist with creating and maintaining orange RtI folder per district protocol documenting the interventions implemented for students receiving program assistance. - Assist counselor with guidance counseling curriculum implementation by scheduling guidance lessons with staff and preparing necessary material at the direction of the counselor. - Assist counselor with coordinating holiday assistance for identified families in need. - Serve as the receptionist for the counseling office when the counselor is unavailable. - Assist counselor with generating 504 testing accommodations for benchmark and STAAR testing at counselor’s direction. - Generate reports using Skyward as needed to help counselor monitor special student groups (at-risk, transitional, ESL, RtI and students with high rates of absenteeism). - Assist counselor and campus administration with annual awar…
