Corrections Equipment Operator - SCI Mahanoy

As a Corrections Equipment Operator with the Department of Corrections (DOC) at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mahanoy, you will support the freight and delivery needs that keep operations moving. The work supports daily operational needs through equipment operation, oversight, and documentation. As a Corrections Equipment Operator, you will perform the following duties: - **Vehicle Operation:** Operate tractor-trailers, trucks, and other motor vehicles to complete daily work assignments - **Equipment Care:** Perform routine vehicle maintenance, conduct safety checks, and complete minor equipment repairs - **Work Oversight:** Train and monitor inmate workers in loading and unloading methods, equipment repair, and completion of bills of lading - **Report Preparation:** Prepare receipts, logs, attendance records, lost hours, inmate bonuses, and other routine reports - **Safety Monitoring:** Safeguard the work area, issue and inventory tools and materials, and search inmates and work areas for contraband Interested in learning more?
