Incarcerated people at Reentry Centers focus on transition, to include finding and retaining employment, education, treatment, reconnecting with family members, and develop life skills. They learn and refine social and living skills to create a smoother transition from prison confinement. Reentry Centers provide people with focused opportunities for success. [To learn more, click on this link](https://doc.wa.gov/corrections/incarceration/reentry-center/default.htm) **Salary Information:** Corrections & Custody Officer 1 (DOC WFSE Range 45 Step J-M) - Full-time - $5,523 - $5,948 - On-call/Hourly - $31.74 - $34.18 Corrections & Custody Officer 2: (DOC WFSE Range 53 Step H-M) - Full-time - $6,407 - $7,243 - On-call/Hourly - $36.82 - $41.63 To qualify at the Corrections and Custody Officer 2 (CO2) level you must meet the following qualifications: - One year of experience as a Department of Corrections (DOC) Corrections and Custody Officer, which includes successful completion of the CORE (Academy) and the Correctional Officer Field Training Program. OR - One year of experience as a Correctional Officer in adult or juvenile corrections where security functions equivalent to a DOC Corrections and Security Officer 2 were performed. On-Call Positions On-call staff may have the opportunity to work an average of 32-40 hours per week, although the positions have no minimum hour guarantee. Incumbents will be required to attend 6 weeks of full-time paid training immediately upon hire and will be considered for full time permanent and/or temporary vacancies as they occur. All correctional officers, including those in on-call positions, are provided with a benefits package including medical, dental, vision and retirement as well as paid sick leave, holiday pay and paid vacation; provided they work at least 20 hours or more each week. Please note: if you recently applied to this location within the last 90 days, no need to reapply. **Facility information:** The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking highly motivated and talented individuals for the positions of Correctional Officer 1 and/or 2, at the**Wenatchee Valley** **Reentry Center (WVRC) in Wenatchee, WA**. WVRC is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The on call/intermittent positions have no minimum hour guarantee. **Custody Level:** Minimum security **Residents:** Male and female facility WVRC was built in 2023 and will begin serving the community in 2024. The facility is near health care services, substance abuse treatment and is on the main transit line. The primary goal is to improve public safety by positively changing lives, building positive relationships with family and providing residents with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the community. Residents who meet the screening criteria may be transferred to WVRC 12 months before release. The facility is operated by the Washington State Department of Corrections and provides 24/7 safety and security, food services, case management and maintenance.
