Why we're hiring: Corporate affairs is vital to helping shape WPP’s story and reputation with our key external stakeholders, the media, the investor community and our wider industry. This role will work closely with the Director, Corporate Affairs and the EVP, Global Head of Corporate Affairs to support the delivery of WPP’s external agenda for financial results, major corporate announcements, strategic milestones and reputation management among media, industry stakeholders and commentators. This is a pivotal role for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, enjoys turning complex business news into clear narratives, and wants to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, global corporate affairs function. What you'll be doing: Reporting to the Director, Corporate Affairs – and partnering with Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy, the External and Internal Communications team and other key stakeholders – this role will be responsible for supporting the communication of WPP’s strategy and progress as part of the regular drumbeat of corporate, financial and regulatory announcements. This role will act as a vital coordinator for the team, ensuring our messaging is aligned and impactful, our media and policy monitoring is sharp, and our key stakeholders are kept informed of relevant news. Support the delivery of our corporate affairs strategy for financial results, annual and quarterly reporting, and AGMs through timeline coordination, logistics and document preparation. Draft and manage press releases, media briefings, Q&A and social media copy and content for corporate, financial and strategic updates. Ensure our message and narrative houses are kept up-to-date with evidenced proofpoints, data and case studies, made accessible to wider teams through AI agents. Be responsible for updating corporate materials on WPP.com and insideWPP in line with quarterly and annual publications. Conduct daily media and policy monitoring, tracking relevant news, regulatory updates and industry trends to help inform the wider team's strategy. Monitor and collate media coverage to draft high-quality briefing packs that keep stakeholders updated on key news. Coordinate with the Analyst Relations team to track upcoming industry analyst reports and assist in communicating key findings to internal and external stakeholders. Take ownership of team planning, keeping projects and campaigns organised and up-to-date using Monday.com. Provide support on issues and crisis management. What you'll need: Experience in a corporate communications, public relations or public affairs environment (ideally 1-3 years, in-house or agency), with a desire to learn how a global, listed business manages its reputation. Excellent writing and editing skills, with a knack for shaping complex information into clear, accurate and accessible communications materials. Strong media and political literacy, with a sharp news sense and a proactive interest in keeping up with current affairs, business news and policy shifts.
