This position requires regular in-person presence as an essential job function. - Assists Casework staff in Core Service planning for clients. Provides consultation and interpretation to DHS personnel and partners regarding service navigation, utilization of Core services/programs, and Medicaid guidelines. - Ensures that Medicaid is billed for Medicaid-eligible individuals prior to utilizing Core in compliance with State memos. - Provides clinical consultations regarding service recommendations; reviews assessments and evaluations. - Completes Core Service Authorizations, including initial referrals, reauthorizations, and closures. - Maintains a case review schedule to ensure timely reauthorizations and quality/appropriateness of Core Services. - Serves as liaison and point of contact for Core Service Providers. - Assists with utilization management of Core Services; monitors service utilization and appropriate use of services. - Cofacilitates Mental Health Triage, including clinical planning. Determines and recommends treatment methods and/or facilities. - Enters data into the required State database and alternative tracking systems for service authorizations, billing, payroll, and audit purposes. - Assists in creating supports for caseworkers, including developing and presenting training on Core Services. - Participates in Family Engagement Meetings, Core Meetings, and Division Meetings. Prepares for and participates in Administrative Reviews as needed. - Provides support to Practice and Support and Services teams within the CYFS Division as needed. - Performs other duties as required. **Supervision Exercised:** This classification does not have supervisory authority; however, may be required to provide expertise or limited guidance or direction to employees, such as overseeing work quality, training, and guidance.
