**Job Description** Job Title: Coordinator of Residence Life and Housing FLSA Status: Exempt Grade: 8 - $45,000 - $53,991.20 Department: Residence Life and Housing Reports to: Director of Residence Life and Housing **Job Summary** The Coordinator of Residence Life and Housing is a live-in member of the Residence Life and Housing professional staff and is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and coordination of the total residence life program at the college. The Coordinator of Residence Life and Housing is responsible for providing leadership to residence programs and students who live in the college housing. The Coordinator of Residence Life and Housing will assist in all housing administration and facility-related processes to support student success and a positive residential experience. The Coordinator works collaboratively with all campus departments and is responsible for assisting the Director of Residence Life and Housing in assessing residence operations, Residence Life Activities, recruiting new resident students, check -in and check-out process, summer operations and increasing occupancy of the Residence Halls. **Essential Functions** *(* *Employees of the District must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, the essential functions of the position as detailed in this section.)* - Coordinate and oversee, with the Director of Housing and Residence Life, the administrative, housing processes, operations, and Residence Hall software. - Provide supervision for Office Assistants, Resident Assistants, and other related staff members as directed by the Director of Residence Life and Housing. - Participate in evening and weekend duty coverage on a rotational basis with other designated professional staff. Respond during emergency or crisis situations in residence halls and participate in on-call/emergency including overseeing – on ground, evenings and weekends as the on-call administrator. - Coordinate aspects of camps, conferences, and guests staying on campus in the Residential community during the summer as directed by the Director of Residence Life and Housing. - Create an academic environment conducive to living-learning and scholarly pursuits (e.g. living-learning communities, faculty interaction, and student programming). - Facilitate student events and training and leadership development programs for/with Resident Assistants, Office Assistants, and other student leaders as directed by the Director of Residence Life and Housing. - Provide support to athletic events to engage students and increase participation. - Assist in the development of student learning outcomes and measurements. - Develop and provide on-going reports. - Provide leadership to and oversight of all residential facilities and personnel with and for the Director of Residence Life and Housing. - Conduct informal resolution conferences with students involved in alleged violations and initiate referrals to the campus conduct process as appropriate. - Assist with campus ID cards and access systems as needed or directed by the Director of Residence Life and Housing. - Provide student support and refer individual students on a wide range of academic, personal and disciplinary matters, referring to various on- or off-campus resources as appropriate. - Participate in relevant committee assignments. - Remain competent and current through professional development including self-directed reading and networking with colleagues. - Campus Security Authority: This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security.
