Coordinator of Grants and Instructional Engagement JobID: 1303 Position Type: Other - Non School-Based/Other Positions - Non School-Based Date Posted: 7/14/2026 Location: School Board Office Additional Information: Show/Hide Coordinator of Grants and Instructional Engagement compensation Salary Range: $79,466 to $133,726 Primary Function The Coordinator of Grants and Instructional Engagement provides strategic leadership in the identification, development, submission, and management of competitive grant opportunities that advance the York County School Division's mission, strategic plan, and division-wide priorities. The position proactively analyzes funding landscapes, aligns opportunities to current and future initiatives, and advises division leadership on external funding strategies. Working collaboratively with all departments, the coordinator secures and oversees external funding from local, state, federal, and private sources while ensuring accountability, compliance, and measurable impact. In addition, the position provides strategic instructional engagement and communications support for the Instruction Department, ensuring clear, consistent, and effective messaging aligned with division branding and communication standards. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, communications, business, public administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities Minimum of two years of professional grant writing experience, with preference for state and federal grant development Demonstrated experience in professional communications, marketing, or public information writing Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related database systems Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret programmatic and budgetary information Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently under general supervision and manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of public administration principles and K-12 educational organizations Knowledge of competitive grant development, grant management, allowable costs, and compliance requirements Knowledge of federal and state grant budget principles, reporting, and auditing practices Knowledge of effective communication strategies for internal and external audiences Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate funding opportunities aligned to instructional and organizational priorities Ability to prepare grant proposals, budgets, reports, and analyses with accuracy and attention to detail Ability to develop clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate written communications Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with division leadership, staff, funding agencies, and community partners Ability to manage timelines, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment, particularly during crisis situations Performance Responsibilities Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations administered by the grantor Research, identify, and analyze local, state, federal, and private funding opportunities that align with division priorities Work collaboratively with all school division departments to identify funding needs and develop grant-supported initiatives Gather programmatic, narrative, and budgetary information to ensure a clear and accurate understanding of proposed projects Coordinate with the Finance Department to develop grant budgets and ensure fiscal compliance Write, edit, and submit competitive grant proposals and funding applications Serve as liaison to funding agencies throughout the application review and award process Monitor awarded grants to ensure compliance with grant requirements, timelines,…
