## Description **Now Hiring: Cook – Early Childhood Education** Pay Range: $18–$20/hour Status: Full-Time Location: YWCA South Minneapolis **What You’ll Do** As a Cook in our Early Childhood Education program, you’ll ensure children are served nutritious, high-quality meals each day. You’ll manage kitchen operations, maintain CACFP compliance, and contribute to a welcoming, safe environment for all. - Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch, snack) in accordance with CACFP guidelines - Order food and supplies in a timely, cost-effective manner - Maintain kitchen cleanliness and documentation in alignment with health and safety standards - Adjust menus and prep to accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs - Occasionally support classroom staff as neede **Core Competencies** - Nutrition & Food Safety: Applies CACFP, nutrition, and food handling standards to ensure safe, healthy meals - Independence & Accountability: Manages kitchen tasks efficiently with minimal supervision - Adaptability & Teamwork: Adjusts to daily needs while supporting a collaborative, child-focused environment **Who You Are** You are a dependable and detail-oriented food service professional who takes pride in preparing nutritious meals that support child development.
