This role supports patients, residents, and staff by delivering high-quality, nutritious meals in a timely and professional manner. ### **Key Responsibilities** - Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and dietary guidelines - Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards - Follow modified diets and special meal requirements as directed - Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food preparation areas - Assist with food ordering, inventory, and stock rotation as needed - Collaborate with the Dietary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations - Provide excellent service to patients, residents, and staff ### **Qualifications** - Previous cooking experience preferred, ideally in a healthcare or institutional setting - Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures - Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions accurately - Strong attention to detail and time management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain upon hire) ### **Work Schedule** Part-time, temporary position with varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. ### **Location Perks** Located on the beautiful Long Beach Peninsula, Ocean Beach Health offers the perfect blend of meaningful work and coastal living.
