KOMAN Holdings, LLC, wholly-own by Natives of Kodiak, Inc. (NOK), has subsidiary companies that provide construction, environmental, and professional services to government agencies throughout the United States. The Sector Controller is responsible for managing Sector financial activities and transactions by working closely with the KOMAN Holdings Controller, Operations, and the Sector Accounting teams to ensure consistent accounting practices are utilized, financial reporting is timely and accurate and assist with special projects related to Service and Construction subsidiaries. The Sector Controller prepares financial and management reports, exchanges information with stakeholders, analyzes growth opportunities, coordinates external audits and acts as a Business Partner to Sector Leadership. This role will be primary focused on supporting accounting and reporting for KOMAN Holding�s environmental and professional service businesses. Essential Functions: Oversee accounting activities for Federal Government environmental and professional service contracts, including work-in-process schedules, cost-plus contracts, indirect cost pools, allocation bases, and related FAR compliance requirements in a multi-entity environment. Maintains and supports accounting processes within a DCAA-compliant accounting system, ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and system use across applicable accounting functions. Coordinates and responds to DCAA and other third-party governmental cost compliance audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and management responses as needed. Supports preparation, review, and submission of Incurred Cost Submission (ICS) schedules and related incurred cost reporting requirements. Experience with creating Final Indirect Cost Rate Proposal (FICRP)-per FAR -proposal to establish final indirect cost rates Works with subsidiary General Managers to develop annual budget and financial forecasts. Develop internal accounting controls and recommend improvements to current internal accounting control procedures. Monitors actual performance of operating subsidiaries, analyzes variances, and reports findings to stakeholders. Manage the day to day operations of the Sector Accounting team accounting for environmental and professional service contracts. Prepares for, coordinates, and participates in external financial audits and supports tax return preparation. General Management: Continually assesses financial systems, processes and procedures, and identifies and executes improvements. Lead or support projects in other functional areas from time-to-time based on business needs and individual skillsets, bandwidth, and interests. Other duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor�s in Accounting, Finance or similar areas of study required. CPA strongly preferred. Experience: The preferred candidate has 5-8 years� accounting experience working for a Federal Government Contractor accounting for professional service contracts (e.g., WIP Schedules, Cost Plus, managing multiple indirect cost pools and allocation bases in compliance with respective contracts and/or Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), etc.), preferably in a multi-entity environment. Experience working in a DCAA compliant accounting system. Experience with DCAA and other 3rd party governmental cost compliance audits. Experience with Incurred Cost Electronically (ICE) preferred Required Qualifications: Excel with Numbers: Understand and apply advanced financial concepts and practices to financial entries, analyses, and reporting Able to process and integrate data from different software systems. Know Financial and Tax rules and have a strong understanding of GAAP. Be Very Good with Financial Transactions and Detailed Records: Understand and apply the fundamentals of good financial practices to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
