Clay County Missouri’s Facility Maintenance Office seeks a dynamic, organized, and innovative leader to serve as its Contract/Building Services Manager. The Building Services Manager is tasked with overseeing contracts, bids, custodial operations and vendors for various services to deliver efficiency while maximizing taxpayer dollars in the care of Clay County’s buildings and grounds. This position will also manage and lead a crew of custodial/maintenance personnel whose major responsibility is to provide visitors and employees with safe, attractive, comfortable, and efficient buildings and grounds. Duties will include providing general supervision over professional and technical staff, establishing staff priorities and allocating personnel resources, monitoring monthly expenditure, and maintaining the integrity of the county’s buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate has experience in contract review and administration, a strong procurement background, project management, and regulatory compliance skills in budgeting, team leadership, expertise in maintenance software and safety protocols, and has a bachelor’s degree in related fields. The candidate will also need high organizational and communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and handle detailed and stressful situations. The employee will receive an annual salary, DOE, of $63,508.02 - $66,071.41 with a benefits package that includes two defined benefit retirement plans fully funded by the County and a deferred-compensation plan with a match on the first 4% contributed. We also offer three medical plans including two high-deductible plans, dental, vision, two flexible spending accounts, and supplemental plans. Full-time employees are also offered life insurance (2X annual salary) paid by the County, paid vacation/sick leave, 14.5 paid holidays, LTD and tuition reimbursement.
