Your work prevents hazards like slips and falls, supports infection control, and enhances residents' well-being. Clean, polished floors also create a positive first impression for families and visitors, reflecting high standards of care.** **GENERAL DESCRIPTION:** Under the direction of the housekeeping supervisor, is responsible for maintaining all carpet and hard floor surfaces by following proper procedures and operating appropriate equipment. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**EDUCATION: Must be able to communicate effectively. SKILLS: Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision. **ESSENTIALS OF JOB:** 1. Maintains all hard floor surfaces including dust mopping, wet mopping and buffing. (constantly) 2. Maintains carpet floor surfaces including spot cleaning as well as deep extraction. (frequently) 3. Sets up and breaks down tables and chairs for special events. (occasionally) 4. Maintains equipment and supplies. (constantly) 5. Maintain trash on the outside facility and inside. (frequently) 6. Must use personal protective equipment (PPE). (occasionally) 7. Must be able to work with chemicals and be able to use carpet cleaner, vacuum, etc. (frequently) 8. Must be able to work overtime when needed. (occasionally) 9.
